Hello! It is weird to be making a website about ME when usually I only produce sites for other people or companys. I just scanned in some of the rare fotos of myself and attemped to share what wthe story is behind them. This site is inspired by longhairedmen.com, a site dedicated to men with Long Hair. Lovely Lisa the webmistress invited me to post and I am honored to be part of the site. Cheers to all my online friends!!!!!
E-mail me at : stevyn@ironfeather.com. I love to correspond and meet new friends all over the world.
Say hi on ICQ #1353920
STATS: Born on July 23, 1966 in Scotland, schooled and lived in VA, WV, GA, FLA, SC, NC, MA, NH as a child due to my dad was in the Navy. 6 foot tall, brown hair, blue eyes. Fell in love with Hanna when I was 17, married her when I was 18. We are soul mates and still going strong after 15 years! We are open minded, non religous, into creating radio shows, zines, partys and events. Love to network & travel. Current addy: STEVYN POB 480-004, Denver, Colorado, 80248, USA.
Taken in NH around 1993, I had dyed black hair and proudly sported my AC/DC badge. I have been to many, many AC/DC concerts and consider them my fav #1 hard rock band. It all started when my Mom gave me the record, "Highway to Hell" when I was in jr. highschool. I favorite bands in jr.high and high school were: Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Led Zep, Blondie (i had a mad crush on her), Queen, Motley Crue, and pretty much all the hard rock & metal bands that they played on Boston radio stations during the '80's. I also started getting into punk, The Cure, U2, etc from listening to WBCN and WFNX.
I was born in Dunoon Scotland and love to visit the UK as much as possible. On our last trip to Scotland we met with our friend Sarah who took some tyme off to show us this wicked abandonded castle on the east coast. You can see the sea to the right with the near full moon. We spent the whole day exploring different parts of the castle, having lunch, etc. This pic only shows a wee bit of the castle. Awesome phun tymes!
| Here I am drinking a beer hanging out in the KGNU studios in Boulder. I used to have my own show and play metal, TV theme songs, Go-Go & lounge & cyberpunk musiks twice a month from 3am-6am. Around 5:30 I played ambient stuff and welcomed the early risers and then ended my show with news. I also occassionally appeared on KGNUs "Electronic Air" radio show which featured techno, jungle, etc. When we moved to Denver we gave up doing radio shows except for an appreance on a local pirate radio station. To fill the gap Hanna and I now produce our own radio show called DRiP which features all styles of electronika musica like techno, jungle, gabber, house, ambient, etc. We chat alot and have alot of guests over. Currently I am thinking it would be really phun tp start a new radio show that will be geared towards rock, metal, industrial, & cyberpunks. Just need to find a server to host it!

Early 90s: This was taken when we returned to visit my childhood friend Joe who lived in Berlin NH. My wife and I dyed our hair black, prefered to wear black clothing, jeans and black boots. I idolized Keith Richards from the stones and used to try and imitate his 70s look. Hanna idolized Suiouse of the Banshees and Joan Jett. We watched Head Bangers Ball on MTV like mad! We enjoyed going to acid house clubs and heavy metal bars which were at their height. Denver really needs a metal bar BAD! They all closed down which has been a major bummer. I am seriosly thinking about asking a local bar to let me DJ a metal nite and see what happens.
This pic is from 1989 when I lived in Michigan. I was going to college at LCC and Hanna graduated from MSU. For work I delievered the DETROIT NEWS then later went on to be a banks ATM customer service tech. I tried to be a volunteer at the MSU radio station by I think they conservative director disapproved of my look & my skateboard which I had painted GRATEFUL DEAD all over. I wanted to do a Grateful Dead show and he was no way! We lived in Michigan for 4 years and loved it! Cheers to all my good friends in Michigan!!
Mountain Man Stevyn! From 1995-1998 We lived in small cabins in the Colorado Rocky mountains. I enjoyed spullying heat by hauling wood, chopping it, etc. We had many great tymes hiking, roaming all around the mountains, checking out abandoned gold mines, 4X4 wheeling sometymes, having outdoor partys for all our Boulder friends. Wow, some of the happiest memories of my life! Recently we moved to Denver, total contrast as we live right downtown!
This is my attempt to look like Commander Riker from Star Trek NG for a star trek party we went to at Erik & Sharas house. It was a blast! Here I am petting their kitty. Recently we have adopted our own kitty named Katnip who is hanging out with me right now as I type this. If you have a kitty, invest in one of those lzer keychains for like $9. Cats LOVE to chase the lazer dot around the house!
In between cabins in the mountains we lived for a season in a big wharehouse in north boulder. We decked it out ala Batman's Batcave stylee! We pulled into the garage bay, closed it down and inside had lofts and rooms, etc. I used to enjoy dressing up in my lab coat, the mission at this tyme was to collect books for opening an used bookshop in boulder. We nenver did do that, but currently we have over 6000+ books in our basement and we and sometymes our old friend Marty spends time down there catloging them all. Look for our online book shop soon

For six years while living in the Boulder area I worked at the PennyLane Coffeehouse on Pearl street. The place is known as the hippy & punk cafe of boulder. 6 years of meeting & hanging with street punks, rainbow kids, junkies, poets, beatniks, run away kids, bums, business people, musicians, goth kids smoking cigs, artists and tons and tons of cool wonderful people. Radically hanged my life! In this pic I am working counter with my best friend Ellyn. My dream now is to open my own coffeehouse in Denver. |

I was jumping in the air near this sign cuz I thought it was funny. Pic taken in London. London is an awesome city!!! So much cool shyt going on there, clubs, concerts, gigs, pubs, markets, hustle & bustle and TONS of cool history. I love hanging in the pubs! Cheers mate! |
The New hamsphire crew, starting from the left is Bob, Debbie, Hanna, Stevyn, Jeff. All super close friends, awesome people and hardcore rockers!! I have known all of these people since 1985 from when we all worked at a local childrens camp in the state park. That is where I met Hanna, we fell in love and 6 months later got married.
One of my biggest project is working on my magazine, Iron Feather Journal, which I started in 1987 as an activist & hacker zine in Michigan. This picture was taken in 1997 at my Boulder office where I spent many long hours working on new issues. For a job I was working at the coffeehouse. I was involved in the "Pirate Sound System" in boulder which threw many FREE renegade partys. Cheers to all my boulder friends!!!
While visiting in England we always enjoy hanging out with Mogg & Ruth who are part of the Mandrake Press. They publish occult & magick books. In this pic you see Hanna, myself and Mogg. These guys are a huge infleunce and inspiration for us. Tho I have no religion I do admire & respect the magick scene.

Here is one of my best friends, Paul. We are hanging out at the Boulder KINITIC Festival. Imagine wacky people trying to race each other over this pong in silly costumes in home made inflatable crafts. Lots of beer & sunshine! We lived with Paul in a cabin near Estes Park Colorado for about 1.5 years. He is one of the best people I know! The awesome memories of partying, hikes, 4X4 wheeling, working on computers, etc will always be remembered! Currently he bought a house in Golden about 10 mins from me so I see him more often now.
Another cool thing about London is the phun record shops! Looking for current dance choonz on vinyl? then you gotta check out the Blackmarket record shop. I can't wait to get my ass back to London to be walking the streets, eating fish n chips, drinking in the pubs and exploring the whole culture. Did you know that a round trip ticket is about $400 or less in Feb!
My mom took this pic of me two years ago when I was visiting them in Arizona. Currently I shaved the beard and kept a handle bar moustache.
I never really got into country music so when our friend Mary Ann invited us to experience the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, I didnt know what to say. After that I am a total bluegrass fan! These people party all nite long! Imagine hundreds of pickers around many different campfires jamming very dancable bluegrass. All nite jam sessions!!!! Check it out sometyme, wicked phun camping and partying with down to earth granola people. This picture is me rolling outa the tent in the morning.
